Launched back in October 2013 for a hefty pricing of Rs. 49,900, the Samsung’s flip Android phone, Galaxy Golden was not much appreciated mainly for the pricing. There has been a flurry of ratings and comments about this device on the Flipkart’s page because of the pricing, which doesn’t match the specs. Finally, Samsung has decided to reduce the pricing of this smartphone, which is now available for Rs. 29999 on Flipkart.

That is quite a huge price cut, making the Galaxy Golden a far better option for those who wanted to have the Android flavor in a phone having the flip design with the physical keys.

Samsung has launched its flip Android phone, the Samsung Galaxy Golden in the Indian market after it had been available in the Korean market earlier.

The Galaxy Golden comes with two screens, front and back and they are 3.7-inch in size but the pricing has been set quite high, at Rs. 51990 which is around the price at which the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 was launched a month back. But, the online retailer Flipkart has been taking pre-orders of this smartphone at the price of Rs. 49,900.

The Galaxy Golden brings the best experience of touch and type together, with the two screens in which when the phone is folded, the outer screen being activated, while when the phone is opened to expose the physical keypad, the inner screen gets activated.

These are the Super AMOLED displays on both the sides. Running the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS, the Galaxy Golden runs a Dual-core CPU which clocks at 1.7 GHz and that is backed by 1.5 GB of RAM. The two cameras that come in this, include the 8-megapixel rear shooter as well as a 1.9-megapixel front camera.

Coming in the Champagne Gold color, the Samsung Galaxy Golden will be equipped with a 1820 mAh battery and there would be an internal storage of 16 GB available in it. There is no confirmation whether the smartphone would be having the 3G connectivity or not, but the other connectivity options to be included are Wi-Fi, GPS / A-GPS and Bluetooth. Samsung has included a new feature called the Hidden Receiver, where the user can take the calls without opening the flip, and thus the quality of sound becomes better in noisy areas.
