GIONEE ELIFE E8 WITH 6″ 2K DISPLAY, 3GB RAM GETS CERTIFIED BY TENAA
Earlier we have seen TENAA certification revealing many smartphone specs and now we have the details of an upcoming smartphone from Gionee. The Gionee Elife E8 is an upgraded version of 2013 flagship device Elife E7. Elife E8 comes with a huge 6-inch 2k display with 2560×1440 resolution where the Elife E8 had a 5.5-inch FullHD display with 1920×1080 resolution. At the bottom of the display are the three capacitive buttons.
We don’t have the name of the manufacturer but the device is powered by a 2.0GHz processor with 3GB of RAM. It supports 4G LTE and has 32GB of internal storage along with microSD card slot (up to 128GB). On the right side, we have the volume rocker and power button. The phone features an 8MP front-facing camera and a larger than 8MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash. Below the rear camera is a fingerprint scanner and a speaker grill at the bottom of the rear panel.
Elife E8 is powered by a larger 3520mAh battery, which makes the device feel heavier at 207 grams. It measures 164.0 x 82.3 x 9.6 (mm), at 9.6mm the device looks bulkier than the recently launched 5.5mm thin Gionee S7.
The device runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop based Amigo OS out of the box. There is no information on pricing or availability of the device. According to the information on TENAA, Elife E8 comes in silver colour but we may expect in few more colour during the launch. Gionee mentioned that the Elife E8 will be launched in the month of July.
