HTC LAUNCHES NEW BUTTERFLY SERIES SMARTPHONE IN JAPAN


One more device added to the HTC Butterfly series, but it isn’t named as HTC Butterfly 3, though it is the third device in this series. The latest device is named as ‘HTC J Butterfly HTV31’ and for now, it will only be available in Japan. It will be the first QHD smartphone from Sony to be powered by Snapdragon chipset.

The device features a 5.2-inch Super LCD3 QHD (1440×2560) display and to be powered by a Snapdragon 810 MSM8994 octa-core chipset along with 3GB of RAM. It has a battery of 2,700mAh capacity and internal storage of 32GB with microSD card support (up to 200GB). The smartphone can be charged from 0% to 100% in just 110 minutes.
The main attraction of the device comes when we discuss the camera, it has a 20.2MP Duo camera on the rear side of the device. With this camera, the device captures the distance information and can select the focus after capturing the image. We can shoot 4K videos with this camera. Along with that, it also has the 13MP front-facing camera for a better Selfie experience.
Connectivity on the device includes Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, NFC, GPS/AGPS, Bluetooth 4.1 and microUSB port. The HTC J Butterfly HTV31 comes in the colours Red, White and Indigo Blue with a glossy finish at the back. It also has dual front-facing speakers with Dolby audio and the device is Dust-proof (IP5X) and Water-proof (IPX5/IPX7). The smartphone runs on HTC Sense 7 based on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
It measures about 151 x 75 x 10.1 (mm) and weighs 162 grams. The latest HTC J butterfly is now listed on Japanese carrier KDDI’s website and is scheduled for the June launch. There is no information about the price or the global launch of the smartphone.
