UPCOMING LENOVO A6600 GETS CERTIFIED BY TENAA

Three new budget smartphones Lenovo A3900, A6600 and A6800 were spotted online, last week. Now, A3900 has been listed on Lenovo’s official Chinese website and other two models are still not announced. The specifications of A6600 has leaked with the TENAA certification. It has nearly same specs as A6000 but with a better front-facing camera and different processor.

The A6600 has a 5-inch HD IPS (1280×720) display, 64-bit Mediatek quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage with microSD card slot (up to 32GB). Other features includes an 8MP rear camera with a LED flash, 5MP front-facing camera, 4G, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, GPS/A-GPS and Bluetooth 4.0. A6600 measures 142.8 x 70.9 x 7.5 (mm) and weighs at 142.6 grams. The device is available in the colours White, Silver, Gold and may expect a price tag of $110 (Rs.7,000).

The other device A3900 has very basic specs where the $80 (approx) price tag doesn’t seem to worth it. It includes a 5-inch IPS WVGA (480×854) display with 196ppi and Mediatek MT6752 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz with 512MB RAM. This dual sim smartphone has a 4GB internal storage along with a microSD card slot (up to 32GB), 5MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and 2MP front-facing camera. The battery of the device has a 2300mAh capacity. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi, 4G, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0 and USB OTG. Lenovo A3900 weighs 157 grams and measures 142.8 x 71.8 x 8.95 (mm). It is available in Black, Pearl White and Silver colours.

Both the smartphones run on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat based Lenovo’s Vibe UI. Lenovo may plan to update the devices to Lollipop in the near feature since all the other recently launched smartphones comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. The A6600 may substitute the A6000, but the A3800 doesn’t have any specific devices to target considering it’s below par specs.
