HUAWEI MEDIAPAD M2 UNVEILED IN PARIS
New Huawei tablet ‘MediaPad M2’ was unveiled without any presentations or ads, today. It was spotted in a Huawei store located in Paris, France. The MediaPad M2 is the successor of MediaPad M1, which was announced in February, 2014.
The MediaPad M2 has an anodized aluminium frame around the tablet; the design of the tablet is very much similar to the recently launched P8 and P8Max. It features an 8-inch FullHD IPS (1920×1200) display along with the dual front facing speakers. The tablet is powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 930 octa- core processor clocked at 2GHz along with 2 GB of RAM.
It comes with 16GB or 32GB variant along with a microSD card slot to expand your storage. Other features of the tablet are 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 2MP front-facing camera, 4800mAh battery and it runs on Android 5.0 based Huawei’s custom EMUI3.0.
Connectivity includes Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, GPS, NFC and Bluetooth 4.0. MediaPad M2 had almost the same specs as of MediaPad M1 but with a bigger processor and more RAM. It has a thickness of 7.8mm and weighs about 310 grams. Though it is a slim tablet, but thicker than ‘Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact’ and ‘Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4’ which are 6.4 mm and 6.6 mm thick respectively.
The Wi-Fi only model is priced at €279, and Wi-Fi + 4G is priced at €349. MediaPad M2 is expected to available for purchase from the month of June.
