ZTE’S NUBIA BRAND ENTERING IN INDIA ON MAY 19TH

Update: ZTE confirmed the date for Nubia brand entering the India smartphone market, from the invite we received from ZTE mentioned the date as 19th May, Delhi. As we earlier reported, the Nubia Z9 will not be the first device to launch in India, instead of that we are expecting the Z9 Mini to be launched on that day. Another Chinese manufacturer ‘Meizu’ also confirmed 18th May as the launch date of their first smartphone in India, which is just one day ahead of the ZTE’s Nubia launch.

Earlier: ZTE’s Nubia Brand to Enter Indian Smartphone Market
Though there are ZTE smartphones already available in India, Nubia brand smartphones from ZTE are still not launched in India. Now they are all set to enter the Indian markets soon. The company said they will take Indian smartphone market by surprise with its high-end specs and aggressive pricing.

There are many other Chinese brands like Xiaomi, Gionee, Oppo, Huawei and Lenovo which have done well with their strategies. Today Coolpad also announced that they will enter the Indian market by this month through the Dazen brand.
ZTE today launched its flagship device Nubia Z9 which has a 5.2-inch FullHD (1920×1080) 2.5D curved glass bezel-less display. The hardware of the device includes Snapdragon 810 octa-core SoC with Adreno 430 GPU, 3GB of LPDDR4 RAM, 32/64 GB of internal storage and a 2,900mAh battery. It has a 16MP OIS rear camera with LED flash and 8MP front-facing camera.
The device includes a fingerprint scanner and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop based Nubia UI 3.0. Along with this, there are also two other variants Nubia Z9 Max and Nubia Z9 Mini. If the devices are priced aggressively, like what Xiaomi did with the launch of Mi3, then ZTE can capture a more than expected share of Indian smartphone market.
