NOKIA N1 ANDROID TABLET FINALLY MAKES ITS WAY OUTSIDE OF CHINA
After announcing the tablet in November last year, it was released in January in China with Foxconn as a partner. Now, Nokia is finally bringing the tablet in other markets. Yesterday, the tablet was launched in Taiwan for a price of TWD 8,190 ($268) and will ready to ship the tablet from May via Shunfa 3C, a local e-store. There is no information about the launch of tablet in other Asian countries; we can’t expect Nokia to launch it in all over the world other than Asia.
There is a huge demand for Nokia N1 in China, where it own the ‘Tablet of the Year’ award. It was the first device launched by Nokia after the Microsoft acquisition. It comes loaded with Nokia Z Launcher based on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
The tablet features a 7.9-inch IPS LED (2048×1536 resolution) backlit display with a pixel density of 326ppi and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 64-bit Intel Atom Z3580 (2.3GHz) processor and a PowerVR G6430 GPU with a 2GB of RAM. Other specifications include 32 GB of Internal storage with no microSD card slot, 8MP camera with Auto Focus and LED flash at the back along with 5MP front-facing camera, and a battery of 5300mAh capacity.
The connectivity of the tablet includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB with reversible Type-C connector and a 3.5mm audio jack. It weighs 318g and has the dimensions of 200.7 x 138.6 x 6.9 (mm). N1 was available in the colours Natural Aluminium and Lava Grey.
